About Greek Letter Symbols

Greek Letter Symbols is a free reference for the 24 letters of the Greek alphabet: one click to copy any letter, every code you might need (Unicode, HTML, LaTeX, Alt codes, Mac shortcuts), and a plain-English explanation of what each symbol means in mathematics, physics, chemistry and statistics.

We pay particular attention to the characters that look Greek but are not — the micro sign µ, the ohm sign Ω, the summation sign ∑, the increment sign ∆ — because pasting the wrong one is the most common Greek-symbol mistake.

Every symbol on the site is plain Unicode text. There is nothing to install and no account to create.
